Green Book

For Black Creatives

The Green Book

The Greenbook for Black Creatives is a reference to Victor H. Green’s Greenbook for Negro Motorists published during the Jim Crow era when Black folks risked real harm just travelling from one place to another. That Greenbook from those early days was a resource directory of safe, welcoming places where Black folks were safe to fuel up, rest and nourish with diginity. Today’s Greenbook for Black Creatives carries that same torch, hosting conversations and convenings to create oases of information, resources and connection Bay Area business owners. This conversation is testimony in a time capsule.
